Sony Ericsson has announced the imminent release of their FM transmitter for their Fast Port music handsets. The MMR-60 is compatible with the D750i, K750i, W550i, W800i and Z520i .

But unfortunately it's subject to regulatory issues. Something about the FM bandwidth and Ofcom's control.

Unless Sony Ericsson can sort this out it might never see the light of day...

OFCOM are looking into this matter now. Apple have a similar\device for their i-pod and there have been small FM transmitters around for some time that allow you to broadcast within your own home (handy for listening to internet radio etc).

Infinitely useful, I can't believe there hasn't already been relaxations in regulation on short wave FM transmitters yet!

I've had one for 2 years..... very useful (stereo too).
