Has anyone tried using Skype over a mobile network?

Its pretty easy to connect up a Skype handset to a laptop now and the cost of calling especially abroad makes the option worth exploring.

Who's got Skype then? My laptop has a mic and speakers... I could be tempted to install it and see how it works via my 3G MOC.

I have it and it's pretty cool, much better than MSN or Yahoo messenger voice chat. Good that you can call actually phone numbers too and overseas rates are pretty good. I think it works best with a dedicated handset (USB) and these are just about £20 now.

Worth looking into but I suspect as long as data rates are te price they are now it will prohibit its use over mobile networks.
