I'm with Jon on that one. It's definately a step in the right direction, however the handsets that are being released nowadays, the 6680 is a prime example, have browsers that can cope quite well with most pages. There's no real need to limit it to what Three see as fit for consumption. If the user picks a page that won't load correctly they'll find that out on their own.
Maybe Three should allow you everywhere but recommend the sites listed as being optimised for use on your handset?

Well it is official really because you can get the £45 add on for the full data so you CAN browse the net on 3.
Just not on the phone :D

I can see why they want to do it this way, and having links to all the best sites which work well on the handset is a great idea. They can't give away phones, cheap calls & cheap internet - they have to protect their revenue stream or no-one would download content. However if they're going to let you goto Hotmail, why not allow POP/SMTP ports too?
Be interesting to see what happens when you get to 5Mb - does it just stop working?

Kraft Foods? As in the makers of cheese slices?!
And Arsenal fans can rejoice away; fans of the other 91 league clubs are somehow unlucky...
I might leave this package for a while yet; there really isnt much on there that interests me past Sky News and BBC Sport, most of which you can get on Three's intranet anyway :(
Agreed it is a step in the right direction, but I will need to see more sites added before I commit

Just thought - If they allow google you should be able to get the cached pages - so perhaps most stuff should be able to be viewed?
Proof of the pudding will be in the eating.

Well I followed the link this morning & subscribed, when I went back into the Addons section it said "Pending activation: Mobile Web", but now that & the £45 internet bundle have vanished again. Anyone else manage to subscribe?
