Hi, i wonder if anyone can help me with this. I am on three pay and using the Nokia 6680. Sending SMS Messages to other UK users is no problem but sending SMS Messages to Portugal doesn't work. The message shows "pending" and doesn't go through. I tryed several numbers and it's always the same.

Not being a Three customer.. I'm not sure.

But you might need to call Three and ask them to allow overseas communications on your contract..

Thats one of the only things I can think of..

It's definitely something you need to contact Three about - they might not even have SMS interconnection with the network in Portugal you are trying to reach. Are you able to text the number ok from other networks?

You could try using an online service in the meantime to reach the number? I know it's not ideal, but there are some good services out there.

Welcome to Talk3G :)

Any particular ones you could recommend Ben? Perhaps one that would allow it to seem as if text messages have come from your actual phonenumber?

VIPSMS (http://vip.cbfsms.com/) is good, they have international coverage @ 5p per 160 character message and you can send 'from your own number' so the recipient doesn't know it didn't come from your phone. Of course, you need to make sure that your phone can receive messages from Portugal also!

As with any online service, make sure you email their customer services first with the phone number you absolutely need to reach. They'll send a test message for you so you can verify it works fine before coughing up any money.

Do make sure you get onto Three about it though, they might be able to resolve the issue for you. If you don't fancy ringing up, email [email protected]
