Well, I know 3's 30-day rule is less than ideal, but I was quite surprised to wake up to a text message this morning on my 3pay letting me know that my credit would expire in 2 days time. I'd best use that up later!
They could have quite easily not bothered to remind me, I mean they already make it pretty easy to keep an eye on things via My 3, but they did - which is commendable.
One thing that concerned me a *tiny* bit was that the text message contained a URL to top up via the handset. That's fine, I've done it before, but to encourage customers to click links in text messages could create a sense of false-trust - especially if/when open data access is made available. Still, at least they're making it easy for now.

Most good standing companys dont include links in email or SMS. However its a nice touch from 3 and could be a sign of changes being made.
On another point.
I think we should all put a proposal to the 3 board on how they can change things at 3 and be the project team to change things. :)

I've had that reminder dohickey on Threepay since I registered up with them several months back. At the moment, I'm going under each month so decided not to renew this time, but skip one month each two just to keep the number registered.......
It is a neat idea sending the reminder in a useful amount of time to actually have a stab at using up the remaining credit. I, too, don't like the embedded URL though.
I make Jon3G right, we should go in as a 3 Clean Up taskforce. Lets face it, their on people have made a pretty poor mess of things so far. Lets vote who does what job in the Task Force - here for starters are my suggestions
Customer Services - leave that to 3GSU and myself
Network Services - ??
Content - ??
Terminal equipment - Ben and Getti
Advertising and Promotion - Miffed and Bleubean
Oh the potential is endless :)

Don't forget 3g-g - get him up those masts!
Perhaps we should scrap the Content team altogether and set the homepage to Google Mobile or BBC Mobile :D
