I still can't believe just how cheap Three UK's tariffs are compared to their competitors. The standard tariff seems to be 200 minutes in the UK, or £30 in monetary terms. Yet still, more than two years after Three UK's launch, they have £30 tariffs offering 2.5x more than you'll get as standard from the incumbents.
It amazes me that anyone still buys 200 minutes for £30 a month considering on Three UK you get 500 minutes and 100 texts for the same price. Why, with Three I could get 100 minutes for the price of 30 on Orange.
Clearly there are more issues than just price when it comes to picking a new mobile phone, and clearly the playing field is less than level. But at what stage are we going to see voice prices come down to more realistic levels such as those offered by Three UK?
