Hi all - I need help with my phone and 3
I have just put a 3 sim into my Nokia N82, this is a non network phone of mine that i have had Vodafone on.

3 gave me the settings for MMS and planet 3 (although that just hangs) but the sms will not send out. I can recieve.

I have vhanged the phone settings to 3 - and the number to +447782000800 as per the free handset i got of 3 (nokia 6500) so they are the same. still not able to send?
Any help we be appreciated as 3 in Bangladesh cant seem to advise.

Hi Welcome to talk3g.co.uk.

Have you visited the Nokia website and used their phone configurator to download the 3 UK SMS, MMS settings to your handset? Worth a try.

It might even be a good idea to completely reset the phone to remove anything Vodafone, and then let it configure itself for the 3 SIM... not sure though, I'd have thought SMS should have just worked, I haven't ever had to manually enter a centre number into an S60 handset.

Sorted - i called 3 again, she sorted me out with all the info - just slight errors in the text settings.
